Austrian marque KTM, along with Indian part-owner Bajaj who have a 47.18 percent stake in the company, are set to make two new additions to its Indian line-up.
The much awaited 390 Duke is slated for a mid-2013 launch while KTM and Bajaj have now announced that a Moto3-inspired small-capacity sportsbike will reach India sometime early in 2014. KTM will also have its thoroughbred track-focused RC8 motorcycle on display in showrooms March 2013 onwards, but it isn’t clear as to when this motorcycle will go on sale.
KTM’s 200 Duke has been a runaway success for the company, selling 8,500 units in India last year and making a key contribution to its global presence. The company has 70 dealerships – the highest among premium motorcycle brands – in the country today.
