MV Agusta has begun production of the Superveloce 800 Serie Oro at its factory in Italy. The company shared the news via its social media platforms, indicating a steady return to normalcy. MV Agusta recently reopened its factory after Italy eased its national lockdown, allowing businesses to restart operations and get the economy moving once again.

The MV Agusta Superveloce 800 Serie Oro is limited to 300 units worldwide and has caught the attention of many enthusiasts, which is understandable, considering the retro-styled supersport’s drop-dead gorgeous style that highlights MV Agusta's glorious legacy. It certainly helped customers put down the money even without a test ride. Some of the design elements, like the round LED headlamp and tail-light, the bubble shaped windscreen and the leather strap that runs from the tank cap to the seat underline the attention to detail.

Underneath the stunning bodywork, the Superveloce 800 Serie Oro is based on the same platform as the MV Agusta F3 800. It uses the F3's chassis and engines, with the latter being remapped for slightly better performance. The 798cc, three-cylinder engine produces 148hp at 13,000rpm and 88Nm of torque at 10,600rpm. While the standard Superveloce 800 has the same triple-pipe exhaust system as on the F3 800, the Serie Oro has a unique asymmetric exhaust made by Arrow. The ‘3-in1-in3’ layout consists of two exhaust pipes on the right and one on the left, and it certainly helps the bike stand out as a special motorcycle.

While the design may hark back to previous MV Agustas, the Superveloce 800 is loaded with modern-day technology, including traction control, quickshifter and a TFT instrument panel.

While there is no official announcement yet, we expect MV Agusta to allot at least a couple of Superveloce 800 Serie Oros for the Indian market.
