Just a few days ago, we brought to you the upcoming Bajaj Discover 110’s price of Rs 50,500 (ex-showroom, Pune). Now, we have completely undisguised images of the motorcycle as well. These spy shots were sent to us by a dealer who has already begun taking bookings for the yet-to-launch Bajaj Discover 110. This re-introduced motorcycle will be the second Discover model to be offered by Bajaj, and the sixth commuter in its line-up.
As seen from the images, we can tell that the new Discover has a reasonable feature set for the segment, with a digi-analogue instrument cluster, an electric starter, a blacked-out lower half (all cycle parts, essentially), handlebar-end weights and dual shock absorbers with a piggyback reservoir. However, the 110 will not be offered with a disc brake as standard. The Discover 110 will sit between the between the Platina 100 and Discover 125 in the manufacturer’s line-up.
The DTS-i motor isn’t exactly an all-new unit but boasts considerable updates to make it efficient, as well as a relatively involving motorcycle to ride. We expect this motor to produce around 9.5hp and 9.5Nm of torque and it's likely to be paired to a four-speed gearbox with an all-down shift pattern.
The upcoming bike will rival the Hero Passion Pro/XPro and the TVS Victor 110. It will be priced at Rs 50,500 (ex-showroom, Pune), at which point it will undercut its two biggest rivals by Rs 3,000-4,000. The Discover 110 will be officially launched alongside other updated Bajaj motorcycles on January 10, 2018.
