The electric two-wheeler sales chart for June 2022 was a closely fought affair, with regular market frontrunner Okinawa eventually emerging on top. The company registered 6,983 new vehicles in June, as per the government's VAHAN portal. Second place went to Ampere, whose 6,541 registrations helped it narrowly edge out Hero Electric, which managed 6,503 units.

Ola Electric, meanwhile, registered 5,884 new vehicles in June, down from its May figures (9,256 units), and also less than its all-time highest figures of nearly 13,000 in April 2022. Nevertheless, its figures were still considerably higher than its biggest rival, Ather Energy, which managed 3,823 new registrations in June.

Leading the electric motorcycle charge was first-mover Revolt, which shows 2,424 new bikes registered in June. Bounce Infinity commenced deliveries of its new scooter, the E1, with 753 new registrations in June.

Overall, between January to June this year, a total of 2,40,662 electric two-wheelers have been sold, as per sales data revealed by FADA president Vinkesh Gulati on July 12. With this number, e-two-wheelers have contributed to 3.6 percent of total two-wheeler sales (66,95,434 units) in the first half of calendar year 2022.
