Ola Electric Mobility Ltd’s chief technology and product officer, Suvonil Chatterjee, and chief marketing officer, Anshul Khandelwal, have resigned from the company, according to an exchange filing. Both the resignations are effective December 27, Ola Electric noted.

The filing states that the executives have quit due to “personal reasons”. The resignations come at a time when Ola Electric is planning to move its electric scooters to the new Gen 3 platform. The automaker has also expanded its service network recently.
Last month, Ola Electric said it is advancing the use of the new Gen 3 platform for its models to January instead of the earlier planned timeline of August. Currently, Ola’s scooters are built using the Gen 2 platform. The Gen 3 platform is expected to improve performance by 26 percent and reduce costs by over 20 percent.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Chatterjee joined Ola in 2017 as the head of design and became Ola Electric’s CTO in November 2022. Before joining Ola, Chatterjee had worked with companies such as Flipkart, Housing.com and Unacademy.
Khandelwal joined Ola in 2018 as the head of marketing and revenue for its food-delivery arm Foodpanda. He became the head of marketing at Ola Electric in May 2022. Before Ola, Khandelwal worked with BlueStone.com, 3M India and upGrad.com.
