Yesterday we brought you the first spy images of the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 and now we have more news about another model based on the same platform. Royal Enfield has trademarked the Bullet 650 Twin name and this is likely what the model will be called upon its launch.
- Similiar design to smaller Bullet 350
- Will be positioned above Interceptor 650
- Launch unlikely in 2024
Royal Enfield Bullet 650: what we know so far
The name Bullet 650 Twin is very similiar to something Royal Enfield recently filed a trademark for: Classic 650 Twin. This trademark filing solidifies the fact that two separate models will come and that the Bullet 650 won't just be a variant of the Classic. The Bullet 650 has been spotted testing a few times before and we know quite a lot about this bike. For starters, the overall design is very similar to the 350cc Bullet and Classic models. However, the engine and main frame appear to be borrowed from the Shotgun 650 and Super Meteor 650 models.

In trademark Bullet fashion, there is a ribbed single-piece seat on offer along with a tubular pillion grab rail. The rear fender is a boxy unit, again a Bullet design hallmark. Despite the traditional design, elements like the LED headlight reinforce that this will be a modern and premium machine.
We expect the Bullet and Classic 650 to use the same frame, underpinnings and feature-set – much like the smaller 350cc models do. The sweet, 650cc twin-cylinder engine will likely be making the same 47hp and 52Nm of torque as it does in the four models that are on sale right now.
At the moment, it remains to be seen when the Bullet 650 comes to market. Sometime this year, the new Royal Enfield Classic 650 will be launched and so will the Interceptor Bear 650. What is safe to say is when the Bullet 650 arrives, it will be positioned above the 650 twins and below the Shotgun 650, considering the simpler equipment and the fact that the Bullet has always been one of the more attainable models in the Royal Enfield line-up.
