Royal Enfield has updated the base variant of the Classic 350 range with a dual-channel ABS unit similar to the one seen on the rest of the Classic 350 series - Gunmetal Grey, Signals and Redditch. The inclusion of ABS comes at a cost of a little under Rs 6,000, which sees the bike’s price rise from Rs 1,47,464 to Rs 1,53,245 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is one of the lowest price hikes we have witnessed for the addition of dual-channel ABS.
The updated Classic 350 receives no other updates and is powered by the same 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine found in the rest of the Classic 350 line-up. Output figures, too, remain unchanged at 19.8hp at 5,250rpm and 28Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The updated bike will continue to be available in four colour options - Ash, Black, Chestnut and Silver.
Now that the entire Classic 350 range has been updated with dual-channel ABS, it leaves only the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and 350 ES that have yet to receive this safety feature. With the April 1, 2019 deadline just a few weeks away, the Bullet 350 bikes are likely to receive the update soon.
