As expected, the limited edition Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus edition sold out in record time. Only 250 units of the Classic 500 Pegasus edition were available on sale in our market and all were sold in just 178 seconds, via Royal Enfield’s official website. Globally, only 1,000 units of the Classic 500 Pegasus will be available to buy.
The limited edition motorcycle is inspired by the Royal Enfield Flying Flea which was used by British Paratroopers during World War II. Internationally, the bike is offered in two shades - Olive Drab Green and Service Brown. However, for India, only the latter will be on sale as the green is reserved for the Armed forces. Each unit of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus is priced at Rs 2.40 lakh (on-road, Delhi), making it the most expensive RE production bike to go on sale in India.
Speaking on the sale of the motorcycles in record time Rudratej (Rudy) Singh President Royal Enfield said “The sale for Pegasus motorcycles has shown the tremendous aspiration to own brand Royal Enfield once again. Beyond all expectations, the sale of 250 limited edition Pegasus motorcycles was concluded online in a record time of only 178 seconds! I congratulate all the customers who are now proud owners of the Classic Pegasus limited edition motorcycle and thank them for their support and patronage.”
All units will feature a maroon and blue Pegasus emblem on the fuel tank, which is the insignia of the official Parachute Regiment. Other custom additions augmenting the period look are brown handlebar grips, a leather strap with brass buckles across the air filter box and military-style canvas panniers. Also, a unique serial number will be stencilled on the tank in the same font as seen on the Flying Flea. You can find out more details of the RE Classic 500 Pegasus here.
