Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has launched its second electric scooter, the Dot One, at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) for Simple One Bengaluru customers who pre-booked the scooter. This limited offer stands while inventory lasts.

The official launch price for new customers, which will be “slightly higher”, according to the company, will be revealed in January 2024. Simple One has opened bookings online.
The Dot One is equipped with only a fixed battery, delivering 151km certified range and 160km in IDC. Available in four colours (Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White and Azure Blue), the Dot One comes with a 750W charger. Deliveries will commence first in Bengaluru, followed by other cities in a phased manner.
Simple One claims the Dot One, which is shod with specially designed tubeless tyres on 12-inch wheels, accelerates from 0 to 40kph in 2.77 seconds. Equipped with a 3.7kWh battery capacity and an 8.5kW electric motor, the e-scooter delivers a peak torque output of 72Nm. Safety features include CBS, complemented by efficient disc brakes. The EV has 35-litre under-seat storage. Other product highlights include a touchscreen instrument cluster, offering diverse functionality and app connectivity.
At this price point, the Simple One rivals the Ola S1 X, which is priced at Rs 90,000.
