Fresh spy pictures have been circulating of two Yezdi motorcycles that have been spotted out on test.However, we have reason to believe that there are a total of three motorcycles planned by Classic Legends for its impending launch of the Yezdi brand.

One of the three motorcycles is a scrambler-style bike that can be seen in these images; it was first spotted testing earlier this year. However, the second bike in the image has been seen for the first time and is clearly Classic Legends’ answer to the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The overall design is very similar to Royal Enfield’s adventure bike, with a tall stance, relatively large windscreen, wide handlebar, big front wheel, split seats and the dual front fender design. While it does look very familiar to the Himalayan here, the production bike will probably have its own visual identity in the shape of its fuel tank, side panels, tail and engine.
The motor is clearly liquid-cooled and we are led to believe that the Yezdis will be powered by the larger 334cc motor from the Perak. This engine produces a claimed 30.6hp and 32.7Nm, but it might end up being tuned differently in the Yezdis. What’s certain is that it will have different, Yezdi-style engine cases.
Interestingly, the ADV bike appears to have just a single exhaust on the right-hand side. While this might be just down to the angle of the photograph, it is quite possible that Classic Legends has engineered a two-into-one header pipe for the Adventure bike –twin exhausts would be out of place on such a machine. This is far more likely than the company going through the expense and complexity of completely redesigning the Jawa engine head, which has two exhaust ports.
Something that’s clearly visible on the ADV-style bike is a large instrument console that could be a TFT display. The brand is going to be more youthful in its approach, and given the extra kit and larger engine, the Yezdis may end up being positioned above the Jawas. At present, the Royal Enfield Himalayan is priced from Rs 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom). We’re curious to see if Jawa will be able to undercut that price.
The third motorcycle that’s due from Yezdi hasn’t been seen yet, but is likely to be a standard roadster. This bike’s design will probably hark back to the likes of icons such asthe Yezdi Roadking or the CL-II, and it’ll be interesting to see if Classic Legends brings back one of these name tags, or a version of them.
The new Yezdis were expected to launch by the festival season, but whether this is on schedule or extended is not clear at this point.
