Triumph has added a variant to its Tiger 800 adventure motorcycles in India, the Tiger 800 XCA as its top-of-the-line offering. The XCA will retail for Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Triumph Tiger 800 XCA gets the same engine that the rest of the lineup comes equipped with. This engine is good for a maximum power of 93.7bhp at 9,250rpm, and for peak torque output of 8kgm at 7,850rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox, with a shifter mechanism that has reportedly been derived from the he Daytona.
Besides this, the Tiger 800 XCA comes equipped with a drive-by-wire throttle system, cruise control and switchable Anti-lock Braking System. It also also has four traction modes to make the motorcycle more useable and safer to ride in various riding conditions.
With the Tiger 800 XCA, rider comfort has been taken more seriously by the manufacturer. The XCA gets a higher capacity alternator, rated at 650W to power not only onboard comfort bits such as heated grips and seats, but also auxiliary ones like heated clothing, or global positioning systems.
The Triumph Tiger 800 XCA will be available in all the regular colours the rest of the lineup is available in, and will additionally be made available to Indian buyers in Khaki Green and Crystal White color options.
