TVS Motor Company announced that the Apache RTR 160 4V has crossed the 1 lakh sales mark. Launched on March 14, 2018, TVS' new 160cc offering has achieved this sales milestone within six months of its time in the market.
The RTR 160 4V is the Hosur-based manufacturer's latest offering in the premium 150-160cc segment. In terms of styling, it's more in line with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, but gets different cycle parts. The motorcycle is available in three variants – carburettor with front disc (Rs 82,810), carburettor with front and rear disc (Rs 85,810) and fuel-injected with front and rear disc (Rs 91,810 all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

Powering the motorcycle is a 159.7cc, four-valve motor generating 16.8hp on the fuel-injected model and 16.5hp on the carburettor model; and 14.8Nm of torque on both models. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed transmission.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V competes against the Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet 160, Yamaha FZ and the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160.
