TVS has patented a new name for its Apache range of motorcycles called the RTX. Going by the fact that the first two letters are the same as the RTR range of motorcycles, which span 160cc, 180cc and 200cc models, chances are that this new bike will be something based on these platforms.
Then again, some Apaches like the RTR 200 have been in the same form for many years now, so there is also the possibility of this name being used for a bike based on a new platform in the TVS Apache family. There’s also the RR 310 who’s naked derivative has been in the works for a long time.
There’s very little to tell from these trademark filings, but they do give us a glimpse into future model names. Recently, TVS also patented a cruiser design and to read more about that, click here.
