The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has been our segment favourite for a while now and TVS has just given the bike another update.

Earlier this year, TVS launched an updated version of the RTR 160 4V with more power and less weight. Just six months later, the RTR 160 4V gets another update. This time around, TVS has given the bike a new LED headlamp that looks far less polarising, but also immediately identifiable as an RTR. The strange-looking eyebrow LED Daylight Running Lights are now replaced with a new central DRL which functions with both the low and high beam. We suspect it won’t be long before the RTR 200 also gets the same unit.
Like it's bigger 200cc brother, the RTR 160 4V now also gets three riding modes – Rain, Urban and Sport. Further additions come in the form of a gear position indicator on the LCD display and a radial rear tyre. The top variant now gets TVS’ SmartXonnect bluetooth technology.
TVS has also launched a new Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition, which gets adjustable clutch and brake levers, an exclusive matte black colour with red alloy wheels, and a new seat pattern. Bluetooth connectivity is standard on this model.
Mechanically, the bike remains the same with a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 17.63hp and 14.73Nm. Three colours are available – Racing Red, Metallic Blue, and Knight Black.
The Apache RTR 160 4V is available across four variants: Rear Drum, Rear Single, Rear disc with Bluetooth, and the Special edition. The base model does not get the radial rear tyre.
Prices (ex-showroom Delhi) have gone up by around Rs 3,500 per model and are as follows:
