Yamaha's first scooter for India is the Ray, launched in Hyderabad today. The scooter was first displayed at the January Auto Expo in Delhi. The Ray’s youthful styling has sharp lines and a front apron that bears a resemblance to the Honda Dio. The stylish and compact Ray is a light, 113cc scooter, sure to be well-suited to urban-Indian commuting duties.

The Ray comes with a low seat-height for ease-of-use by its target audience - young ladies under 24 years - and further provides the convenience of easy-to-use main- and side-stands.

The Ray uses a scooter-typical 4-stroke, air-cooled and CVT automatic transmission engine.
Top-drawer telescopic fork front suspension is standard and the latest Yamaha comes to India
affordably priced at Rs 46,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Yamaha is offering their new scooter in Pink, Purple, Blue, Burgundy, Grey and Black.
