The upcoming Yezdi adventure motorcycle has been spotted again, this time in production ready form. These pictures are supposedly from the TVC shoot of the motorcycle.
Yezdi adventure motorcycle: design
The styling on the bike looks purposeful with function prioritising form. It has a round LED headlight with a tall windscreen that sits above it. The ADV beak sits right below the headlight while the turn indicators are located on the fork.
Move to the side and you'll notice the large fuel tank, with prominent crease lines and a retro-styled fuel cap finished in chrome. The white base paint and contrasting blue stripes look neat, while the rubber grip pad serves as a functional addition. Also, notice the vertical tubular metal stays around the fuel tank to mount Jerry cans.
The tail section is minimal and the bike in the pictures features saddle stays, with the Yezdi branded panniers attached to them. While it isn't clear, there seems to be little clearance between the base of the panniers and sharply upswept exhaust.
While the styling is purposeful, it looks similar to its arch competitor, the Royal Enfield Himalayan. That said, we'll reserve our judgement about the styling until we see the motorcycle in the flesh.
Yezdi adventure motorcycle: features
The images suggest that the bike will get a digital instrument cluster. The bike is also expected to feature all-LED lights while the hand guards might also be standard.
Yezdi adventure motorcycle: engine and chassis
The bike is expected to be powered by the 334cc, liquid-cooled engine that we've seen in the Jawa Perak, which is also owned by Classic Legends. The engine in the Perak makes 30.6hp and 32.7Nm, but it might end up being tuned differently on the Yezdi.
The chassis will be all-new, suspended by a long-travel telescopic fork and a monoshock. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 19-inch rear, wire spike rims shod with dual-purpose tyres.
Yezdi adventure motorcycle: availability
The Yezdi adventure motorcycle is expected to go on sale in a few months. It will go head on against the well established Royal Enfield Himalayan. Stay tuned for the prices.
