Hero has entered the 125cc scooter segment with two new models, the Maestro Edge 125 and the Duet 125. Both scooters are powered by the same 125cc engine, however, the Maestro targets younger buyers with its sporty styling, while the Duet is more suited for an older audience.
Both scooters use the same 125cc motor that makes 8.7hp and 10.2Nm of torque. The scooters are also equipped with i3S (idle-start-stop tech) that, until now, was seen only on Hero motorcycles.
The Maestro comes with modern styling and features a sharp front end and a sleek rear. The scooter also gets an LED tail-light. Other features include external fuel filling, digi-analogue instrumentation, a side stand and service indicators. The Maestro is available with an optional front disc brake.
The Duet 125 also gets an external fuel filler, side stand and service indicator and a pass switch. Furthermore, it comes with a boot lamp and mobile charging. Styling-wise, the Duet gets body-coloured rear-view mirrors and a dual-tone seat. The Duet can only be had with drum brakes for now.
