Suzuki has begun assembling its ever-popular Hayabusa superbike in India at its Manesar plant. The 2016 Hayabusa, which until now was sold at an ex-showroom price of Rs 16 lakh, will now retail at Rs 13.57 lakh, which is a welcome markdown of
Rs 2.5 lakh in the bike's price.
This new pricing places the Hayabusa in an enviable position in the Indian hyperbike segment, where its arch rival, the Kawasaki ZX-14R, is priced at a massive premium, selling at Rs 17.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 2016 Hayabusa is the first real superbike assembled in India by Suzuki. Since its inception, the Hayabusa has found its place among the fastest production motorcycles to be built, and the 2016 model lives up to its reputation, with the refined Suzuki four-stroke, in-line four, 1,340cc engine making close to a hefty 195bhp.
The 2016 Hayabusa is available in red, white and black.
