A big draw to the Access is its telescopic front suspension, a superior piece of kit only available on few Indian scooters today. A wide and firm seat offers equal padding for riders as well as pillions. The Access seats riders in the standard upright commuter-oriented riding position that is well accepted across Indian scooters. Compared to the Activa, the Access provides less room on its floorboard.
It uses a steel tube frame, with the engine doubling as a stressed member that links to the scooter’s single rear hydraulic shock absorber. Ride quality is decent, and slightly on the firm side, but well organised enough to keep the vehicle stable even when riding two-up. The pillion sits in a restful posture with legs falling easily to the exquisitely detailed footrests.

Thanks to its telescopic front suspension, the Suzuki handles and corners as well as the best scooters currently available. Although it offers adequate stopping power, going from 60kph to rest in 19.17 metres, the Access would do still better to offer a little more bite from its drum brakes. The Access rides on steel rims both front and rear.
