13 new special edition cars, SUVs launched this festive season

Manufacturers like Maruti, Toyota, Jeep, Renault and Mahindra have introduced special edition models this festive season.

A host of manufacturers have introduced special edition versions of their cars and SUVs for this festive season in a bid to attract more buyers. Carmakers such as Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Mahindra, Jeep and Renault have launched special edition models. We've compiled a list of every special edition for the festive season that has arrived in showrooms so far. 

Maruti Suzuki

Wagon R Waltz Edition

The limited-run Wagon R Waltz Edition gets a few visual enhancements, along with some additional features over the standard model. Priced from Rs 5.65 lakh onwards, the Waltz Edition is available across LXi, VXi and ZXi variants. It gets fog lamps, chrome garnish for the fog lamps, wheel-arch cladding, bumper protectors, side skirts, body side moulding, designer floor mats, interior styling kits and chrome treatment on the grille. On the features front, the Waltz Edition adds a 6.2-inch touchscreen and a reverse parking camera.

Swift Blitz Edition

The Swift Blitz Edition is available with LXi, VXi, VXi AMT, VXi (O) and VXi (O) AMT variants, and gets accessories worth Rs 49,848 over the standard model. The accessories on offer include a rear underbody spoiler, a spoiler on top of the boot, fog lamps, illuminated door sills, door visors and moulding along the sides.

Grand Vitara Dominion Edition

Similar to the Swift Blitz Edition, the Grand Vitara Dominion Edition also gets additional accessories as a part of the festive season offers. Available only for the Delta, Zeta, and Alpha variants, the Dominion Edition gets an accessory package priced from Rs 48,599 to Rs 52,599.

Baleno Regal Edition

The Baleno gets a special Regal Edition this festive season, which is available across all variants. The complementary accessories on offer with the Baleno Regal Edition include a front underbody spoiler, a rear underbody spoiler, dual-tone seat covers, 3D mats, side mouldings, mud flaps, 3D boot mat, chrome garnish for the grille and the rear, steering cover, fog lamps on variants that don't get them, a vacuum cleaner, a body cover, Nexa cushions, door visors, sill guards, rear parcel tray, window curtains, tyre inflator, logo projector lamp and chrome door handles. 

Toyota

Hyryder, Glanza, Rumion, Taisor Festival Limited Edition

Toyota recently launched a new Festival Limited Edition of the Hyryder, Glanza, and Rumion, as well as the Taisor. All four special edition models get complimentary accessory packages in order to further push sales. The Festival Limited Edition models are only available until the end of this month.

Mahindra

Scorpio Classic Boss Edition

Launched last week, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition is yet another special edition model with complimentary accessories. It gets dark chrome applique on the outside, along with rain visors, a front skid plate, a rear guard with black powder coating and a rear-view camera. The wing mirror caps feature a faux carbon-fibre finish. On the inside, the Boss Edition gets black seat upholstery, cushions and neck pillows.

Jeep

Compass Anniversary Edition

Jeep launched the Compass Anniversary Edition earlier this month at Rs 25.26 lakh. Based on the Longitude (O) variant, the Anniversary Edition gets a dual-tone decal on the bonnet as well as a Velvet Red embellishment on the sixth slot in the grille. Inside, the limited-run model gets Velvet Red seat covers, along with accessories such as an integrated dashcam and white ambient lighting. The Compass Anniversary Edition is available with both MT and AT gearbox options.

Renault

Kiger, Triber, Kwid Night and Day Edition

Renault introduced a unique Night and Day Edition for its entire range in India last month, which comprises of the Kwid, Triber and Kiger. Priced from Rs 5 lakh, Rs 6.75 lakh and Rs 7 lakh onwards, respectively, the limited-edition variants feature visual enhancements and a few additional features over their corresponding standard trims. The special edition version is limited to a total of 1,600 units for all models combined.
