Starting prices for the BS6 Kicks 1.5 is Rs 5,000 lower than its BS4 counterpart
The BS6-compliant Nissan Kicks has officially gone on sale with introductory prices starting at Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The BS6 Kicks range comprises a 106hp/142Nm, 1.5-litre petrol engine that’s available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a new 156hp/254Nm, 1.3-litre turbo-petrol that can be had with 6-speed manual or 7-step CVT automatic gearbox options. The erstwhile 1.5-litre diesel is no longer on offer.

A quick comparison with earlier prices reveals that the BS6 1.5 petrol is actually Rs 5,000 cheaper than the BS4 versions. More impressive is the pricing for the new Kick turbo-petrol. Priced between Rs 11.85-14.15 lakh, the Kicks 1.3 signifcantly undercuts comparable turbo-petrol versions of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

The Kicks 1.5-MT has an ARAI-rated 13.9kpl economy figure, while the Kicks 1.3 Turbo-MT is rated at 15.8kpl. Here’s how the updated Kicks fares in comparison to its rivals on mileage. Also, while Nissan has yet to confirm the variant break-up, here’s a list of what features are expected with each variant of the BS6 Kicks.
The BS6 Nissan Kicks will be available in six colour options - Blade Silver, Night Shade, Bronze Grey, Fire Red, Pearl White, Deep Blue Pearl. There will also be three dual-tone colour options on offer - Bronze Grey with Amber Orange, Fire Red with Onyx Black and Pearl White with Onyx Black. The dual-tone options are available as standard on the range-topping Kicks XV Premium (O) variant.
In terms of the standard warranty package, Nissan India offers a 2-year/50,000km pack with the Kicks that can be extended up to 5 years/1 lakh kilometres for a premium. A 2-year roadside assistance package will also be offered as standard. There’s also a pre-paid annual maintenance service package on offer with prices starting at Rs 2,099.
