The 2017 Nissan GT-R is on display at the ongoing Autocar Performance Show 2017. The GT-R is one of the many performance cars present at the event.
The successor to the legendary Skyline GT-R, the R35 GT-R finally launched in India late last year at a price of Rs 1.99 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) following a comprehensive update to the model internationally. This meant that the car that came to India was up on power and featured a more upmarket interior.
Powering the Japanese sports car is a hand-built, twin-turbocharged, 3.8-litre V6 rated to develop a potent 570hp and a 637Nm of torque in the 2017 model as against 550hp and 632Nm of torque in the 2016 model. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Nissan claims a supercar-like 0-100kph time of under 3sec and a top speed of 315kph.
Compared to the 2016 model internationally, the 2017 car features a host of cosmetic changes to the exterior and an all-new interior with double-stitched leather finished upholstery and a large central touchscreen system. Mechanical changes included a revised gearbox and suspension, stiffened body and a new exhaust.
The GT-R is currently available via a state-of-the-art high performance centre located in Delhi that has been built specifically to sell and service the iconic sports car.
