In order to take advantage of the ongoing festive season, Renault India has launched the Sandstorm edition of the Duster in our market. Available in both 85hp and 110hp versions of the K9K diesel engine, prices for the Duster Sandstorm start at Rs 10.40 lakh for the 85hp version and goes up to Rs 11.70 lakh for the 110hp version (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
Transmission options for the Duster Sandstorm remain the same as the standard car, with the 85hp model getting a five-speed manual gearbox and the 110hp version getting a six-speed one. The special-edition Duster Sandstorm is, however, not available with an AMT gearbox or a petrol engine.
What separates the Duster Sandstorm from the standard model is unique exterior paint shade options with body graphics and body-coloured door handles. It also gets a bumper extension up front and round fog lamps. The Sandstorm gets matte black grille instead of a chrome one as well, along with special Sandstorm branding on the sides. Specially designed 16-inch Zodiac alloy wheels are also offered on this variant.
On the inside, it gets special dual-tone seat covers. It is also equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system and gets safety features like ABS and dual front airbags.
The Renault Duster rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio and the Honda BR-V. The carmaker is all set to unveil the new Captur crossover on September 22, 2017.
