The Datsun Redigo facelift has been launched in our market with prices ranging from Rs 2.83-4.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Redigo now features a heavily reworked front-end with a massive new grille, new bumper, L-shaped DRLs, and new headlights. The updates aren’t solely cosmetic in nature as there have been structural upgrades made in order to comply with crash test and pedestrian protection norms.
Engine options remain unchanged compared to the outgoing model, as both the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines have been upgraded to meet the BS6 emission norms. The latter, however, is only available on the top-spec T(O) variant. Both engines can be had with a 5-speed manual, though only the 1.0-litre can be had with an AMT automatic gearbox.

Coming to its competitors, the Datsun Redigo facelift with the smaller 0.8-litre engine rivals the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Renault Kwid 0.8. The Redigo 1.0-ltre variant takes on the Renault Kwid 1.0 and the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in our market.
