The 2020 Honda Jazz facelift with a BS6-compliant petrol engine is now available to book, both online and in showrooms. Apart from a very small visual update, the car gets more equipment, and the diesel engine option has been dropped entirely.

- 1.2-litre petrol engine is now BS6-compliant
- Bookings open on Honda’s offline and online platforms
The 2020 Honda Jazz will be the Japanese brand’s third post-lockdown launch, after the all-new fifth-generation City and the updated WR-V, a few weeks ago.
What engines will power the 2020 Honda Jazz BS6?
This version of the Jazz hatchback gets the same 90hp, 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, but it now meets BS6 emissions standards. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) automatic. What’s more, the automatic remains the only one in its segment to be equipped with steering-mounted paddle-shifters.
Interestingly, Honda announced that the CVT version accounted for a whopping 70 percent of the total sales in the country last year. However, those interested in a diesel version of this hatchback will be disappointed to know that Honda has dropped the 1.5-litre diesel engine option from the Jazz line-up due to poor demand. The Amaze, WR-V and the new Honda City continue to be powered by a BS6-compliant version of that engine.
What other changes will you find on the 2020 Honda Jazz facelift?
The updated Jazz also gets minor styling revisions, including new front bumper, new chrome detailing around the gloss black front grille, and a set of full-LED headlamps and LED fog lamps. The tail-lamps too get the LED treatment, and the rear bumper sees minor styling tweaks as well.
One of the biggest additions with this update is the new electric sunroof, making the Jazz the only hatchback in its segment to be equipped with one. Other features include a touchscreen, cruise control, push-button start and keyless entry, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear wiper and wash, and the aforementioned paddle-shifters for the automatic version.
Where can you book the 2020 Honda Jazz and at what cost?
Honda has officially commenced bookings at Rs 5,000 on its online sales platform – ‘Honda from Home’, and for a sum of Rs 21,000 at its dealerships across the country.
