2022 Toyota Glanza: variant line-up, engine, gearbox details
While the outgoing Glanza came in just two feature-packed variants – G and V – this time around, Toyota has added two new budget-level trims – E and S. The Glanza, now priced from Rs 6.39 lakh-9.69 lakh, then, closely echoes the Baleno range that comprises four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.
The Toyota offering, however, is priced higher by Rs 4,000-20,000, depending on variant, compared to its Japanese counterpart. For one, the additional outlay brings you a longer standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000km, compared to the Baleno’s 2 years/40,000km.
Toyota’s upgraded hatchback is powered by a sole 90hp, 113Nm, 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine. Though it features auto engine stop-start functionality, it loses the optional mild-hybrid tech from before. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the E, S, G and V variants, while an optional AMT is available for the top three trims, replacing the CVT automatic from the earlier Glanza.
