- 255 Hyundai showrooms and service centres open for business
- 170 new Hyundai cars delivered in two days
- 500 new car and SUV bookings gathered already
Hyundai has resumed sales and service in certain pockets of the country as lockdown restriction are eased amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. 255 sales and service outlets have reopened and the number is set to grow in the weeks to come. All of the reopened Hyundai India showrooms and workshops are being operated as per COVID-19 related Central, State and Local Government guidelines, according to the company.
The carmaker has also announced that over the past two days, it has gathered around 4,000 customer enquiries for its products and 500 bookings via its showrooms as well as its online portal. Furthermore, Hyundai has also retailed 170 cars already since its outlets have reopened for business.
The company had recently announced guidelines for all showrooms before restarting operations, which included regular sanitisation of the premises and vehicles, thermal temperature screening of employees and customers and a dispatch of 6.8 lakh face masks along with hand sanitisers for all outlets.
Hyundai has been aggressively pushing sales via its online platform 'Click to Buy' since the beginning of the lockdown in March 2020. Furthermore, a unique EMI assurance scheme has been introduced to push sales among professionals at a time of job uncertainty.
Along with launching the second-gen Creta earlier this year, the company has been silently introducing BS6 versions of its cars and SUVs in India, and also announced the market launch of the updated popular Verna sedan recently. Hyundai will also launch the next-gen i20 hatchback later this year.
