The 7-seat Hyundai Creta has been spied in India for first time. The images confirm details of the 7-seat Creta we had reported earlier, when we revealed that the 7-seat Creta is expected to get a unique name.

7-seat Creta exterior details confirmed
The new spy images show that the 7-seat version of the Hyundai Creta is longer than the 5-seat model. Most of the added length can be seen after the rear wheel, which is where the third row will be placed inside.
New wraparound tail-lights – not the split set-up seen on the 5-seat Creta – a reworked rear bumper, and a bigger rear quarter glass are all that separate the 5-seat and 7-seat versions of Hyundai’s SUV. The spied model also sports the same alloy wheels as the standard Creta.
At the front, the grille gets studs instead of slats. Other than these changes, the exterior of the 5-seat and 7-seat Creta are quite similar, from the roof rails to the front door panels. Front parking sensors can also be seen.
7-seat Creta interior details confirmed
The spy shots don’t show much of the inside of the 7-seat Creta but what we can see are the digital instrument cluster, the large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an auto day/night inside rearview mirror.
We do know that there’ll be three rows of seats, along with more kit than the already well-equipped 5-seat Creta – in-car connectivity tech, a panoramic sunroof, 6 airbags, a tyre pressure monitor, LED DRLs leatherette upholstery and more.
7-seat Creta engine and gearbox details
Both versions of the Creta will share the same engine and gearbox options. The 140hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with manual and dual-clutch auto options, and 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options (both with automatic gearbox options) are expected to be on offer.
7-seat Creta launch details
Expected to arrive in Hyundai showrooms before the end of next year, the 7-seat Hyundai Creta will cost a premium over the 5-seat version. This means it’ll face competition from the MG Hector Plus, Tata Gravitas, the next-gen Mahindra XUV500 and the Jeep Compass-based 7-seater.
