Audi is planning to give its own Mercedes-Benz S-class challenger a refresh, with an Audi A8 facelift set to be launched at the Frankfurt motor show in September.
The styling changes will include revised front light graphics, a new grille and minor tweaks to the bumper which include intergrading the tailpipes into the rear bumper. Changes to the rear lights create a strong signature line.
Revisions to the engine line-up will include the latest twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 diesel from the A6, and the most recent version of the 4.2-litre V8 turbodiesel found in the Porsche Cayenne.
The latest iteration of Audi’s Connect multimedia system - which includes in-car internet access, Google Maps Street View and voice read-outs of functions including emails - is also destined for the A8.
