SAIC-GM-Wuling has unveiled the Baojun 510 small SUV at Auto Guangzhou 2016. The newest member of the Baojun passenger car line-up is targeted at young buyers who seek a multi-functional and stylish vehicle. The Baojun 510 has a bold exterior design, and the grille is integrated with high-mounted daytime- running lights, complemented by slender LED headlights. Raised beltlines, which balance the curved surfaces along the sides of the SUV, help connect the daytime running lights with the taillights. The small SUV’s floating roof has a semi-open panoramic sunroof. The back of the Baojun 510 has a simple yet muscular feel. Its hoof-like taillights and silver-coloured lower fender add to the dynamic effect.
The interior provides vitality and elegance that resonate with the model's exterior. It incorporates an exuberant black and bright brown color scheme. The centre console has a practical design and is easy to operate thanks to its piano key-like buttons. Door handles and vents are adorned in matte metallic materials, while the centre console and door panels have leather trim, contributing to the feeling of luxury. In line with the preferences of today’s younger car buyers, the Baojun 510 is equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), cruise control, push-button start, an 8.0-inch display screen, constant temperature control and a multi-functional steering wheel.
Launched six years ago, Baojun is one of China’s fastest-growing vehicle brands. Until October 2016, sales of the Baojun increased 59.1 percent on an annual basis to 5,12,703 units. Its portfolio ranges from minicars and small cars to MPVs and SUVs.
