Mahindra Alturas G4
Benefits up to Rs 3.05 lakh
Mahindra quietly upgraded its flagship SUV to meet BS6 emission norms and revealed the prices during the ongoing lockdown. The BS6 Alturas now costs between Rs 28.69 lakh and Rs 31.69 lakh – a hike of roughly Rs 1 lakh over the BS4 model, with no changes in the equipment list. The Alturas is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 3.05 lakh, including cash and exchange benefits of up to Rs 2.40 lakh and Rs 50,000, respectively. Interestingly, while the carmaker has listed prices for both the entry-level 2WD and fully-loaded 4WD models, buyers can only option the latter on the carmaker’s digital portal.
Mahindra KUV100 NXT
Benefits up to Rs 70,800
Mahindra’s entry-level model, the KUV100 is now a petrol-only model as the carmaker dropped the diesel engine option from the line-up. Priced from Rs 5.54 to 7.16 lakh, the KUV100 is available with discounts and benefits of up to Rs 70,800, inclusive of cash and exchange benefits. The BS6-compliant model is available in four trim levels with the six-seat layout now being offered as standard.
Mahindra XUV300
Benefits up to Rs 69,500
The XUV300 was one of the Mahindra’s first passenger vehicles to be upgraded to meet the BS6 emission norms. The petrol engine was upgraded late last year, while the diesel was upgraded just prior to the implementation of the nationwide lockdown. The XUV300 is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 69,500 subject to the variant selected. The XUV300 is available with either a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine – the latter with an AMT gearbox option – and with a choice of four variants. Prices range from Rs 8.30 lakh to Rs 12.69 lakh.
Mahindra XUV500
Benefits up to Rs 49,000
The upgrade to BS6 saw Mahindra hike prices for the XUV500 as well as discontinue some variants. Now priced between Rs 13.20 lakh and Rs 17.20 lakh – an increase of Rs 32,000 – the BS6 XUV500 can be had with benefits of up to Rs 49,000. The BS6 SUV is now diesel-manual only, as the automatic gearbox option has been dropped from the line-up. Mahindra has also discontinued the entry-level W3 variant.
Mahindra Scorpio
Benefits up to Rs 35,000
The Scorpio has been on sale for a while now, and with the upgrade to BS6, the carmaker has reduced the number of variants on offer. Set to be replaced next year, the BS6 Scorpio misses out on the option of four-wheel drive and is now available solely with a 140hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with either a 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearbox. Buyers can avail of benefits of up to Rs 35,000 on the BS6 Scorpio SUV which carries a price tag between Rs 12.40 lakh and Rs 16 lakh.
Mahindra Bolero
Benefits up to Rs 14,000
The long-serving Bolero gets another lease of life and is now available only in the sub-four-metre body style and with the brand's 76hp, 1.5-litre, three-cylinder mHawk75 diesel engine. Mahindra gave its people-mover a facelift and made it up to date with the upcoming pedestrian crash test norms just before the lockdown was implemented. Buyers can avail of benefits of up to Rs 14,000 on the utility vehicle.
Mahindra recently rolled out its new digital retail platform ‘Own-Online’ in India. The new platform allows customers to purchase a Mahindra vehicle online, thus eliminating the need to visit a showroom.
