Bentley has unveiled the Continental GT Mulliner W12 ahead of its public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which began on June 23. Bentley says the GT Mulliner W12 is the “fastest, most dynamic and most luxurious” model in the Continental line-up.
It follows the recently revealed Continental GT S, Continental GT Azure, and matches the Continental GT Speed on pace, while bringing in more luxury, thanks to Bentley’s Mulliner division.
Bentley Continental GT Mulliner W12: exterior, interior highlights
The GT Mulliner W12 is distinguished by its ‘double-diamond’ grille pattern, Mulliner-badged air-intakes, bespoke pattern for the puddle light and illuminated outer-door sills.
Buyers can choose between one of eight bespoke three-colour designs, and get the Mulliner Driving Specification package as standard, meaning the seats, doors and rear quarter panels are all upholstered in ‘diamond-in-diamond’ quilting. The seats are embroidered in Mulliner logo and the carpet piping matches the rest of the interior.
Other unique touches in the car include a machined finish for the centre console, a bespoke Breitling dashboard clock and a sketch of the car’s silhouette on the passenger side.
Bentley Continental GT Mulliner W12: technical details
The Continental GT Mulliner W12 uses the Speed’s 690hp, 6.0-litre, twin-turbo W12 engine that makes 900Nm at 1,500-5,000rpm. The GT Mulliner W12 can sprint from 0-100kph in a claimed 3.6 seconds and carry a top speed of 335kph. Bentley says the ‘physics bending’ performance is backed up by ‘exceptional handling’ that is offered by the standard three-chamber air-suspension, optional carbon ceramic brakes, 48V anti-roll control, all-wheel steering and electronic limited slip differential.
Bentley Continental GT Mulliner W12: rivals
The Continental GT Mulliner W12 will take on other high-end Grand Tourers like the Aston Martin DB11, McLaren GT, Ferrari 812 Superfast. The Continental starts at Rs 3.57 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India. With a growing increase for bespoke, limited-volume high-end luxury models, there's a very good chance a few Indian buyers will end up ordering the Bentley Continental GT Mulliner W12.
