Various car and bike dealers across the board are trying hard to clear unsold stocks from their model year 2018 inventory. After speaking to a few Mahindra dealers, we have compiled a list of all the discounts and benefits that are available on the Indian carmaker’s SUVs, MPVs and hatchbacks that should help potential customers get the best deal.
Mahindra XUV500
Save up to Rs 75,000
Mahindra’s popular SUV, the XUV500, is now showing its age. The model has been on sale since 2011 and has received more than one styling update so far. However, new rivals like the Tata Harrier and the Hyundai Creta have made it look outdated in the segment. The XUV500 comes with a strong 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.2-litre petrol as well. The 2018 XUV500 is now available with discounts of around Rs 75,000 at some locations.
Mahindra Scorpio
Save up to Rs 85,000
The Scorpio is one of Mahindra’s SUVs that is a strong seller in almost all cities and towns. Model year 2018 Scorpio’s are available with benefits of around Rs 85,000 for the S5, S7 and S11 variants. The higher-spec S9 trims have a slightly lesser discount at some places. The Scorpio comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine good for 120hp and 280Nm of torque on the lower variants, and 140hp and 320Nm on higher-spec trims.
Mahindra TUV300
Save up to Rs 75,000
The TUV300 is Mahindra’s rugged contender in the booming compact SUV segment, which has recently seen the addition of the monocoque-bodied XUV300. The TUV300 comes with an 80hp and 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine and also gets AMT-equipped variants. The TUV300 facelift is likely to be the next market launch from Mahindra in the coming months, which means dealers will ensure stocks of pre-facelift TUV300, especially models built in 2018, are depleted. Some dealers are offering discounts in the range of Rs 75,000 on the TUV300. Benefits are likely to be higher with dealerships having a large number of unsold vehicles.
Mahindra KUV100 NXT
Save up to Rs 85,000
Mahindra’s smallest model on sale in the market, the KUV100 NXT, is also one of its slowest-selling products. Dealers are looking to push sales of the 2018 batch by offering discounts and benefits in the range of Rs 85,000 on both the petrol and diesel variants. The KUV100 NXT is a compact, high-riding hatch with a decent features list.
Mahindra Marazzo
Save up to Rs 20,000
One of Mahindra’s newest products in India, the Marazzo MPV now comes with a discount of around Rs 20,000 on 2018 stock. The Marazzo comes with two seating configurations, a refined 1.5-litre diesel engine and a long list of features. The MPV sits right between the popular Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the more expensive Toyota Innova Crysta in the segment.
