The facelifted version of the current BMW 3-series is expected to be revealed at an event in Munich on May 7, 2015.
The 3-series facelift has been in the works for a long time, with a test car having been spotted in thin camouflage way back in August, last year. The facelifted car is expected to get mildly revised styling with new adaptive LED headlamps, LED taillights, redesigned bumpers and an updated grille.
Under the hood, the facelifted 3-series is expected to get a new 1.5-litre turbo three-cylinder engine and a plug-in hybrid powertrain driven by a combination of a 2.0-litre petrol engine and an electric motor generating around 241bhp. The hybrid is also expected to get a revised version of the eight-speed Steptronic gearbox.
There is no detail on the updates to the interior of the facelifted model yet.
