Compared to the standard X4, the 50 Jahre M Edition gets cosmetic changes in the form of an M Aerodynamic package, which includes body coloured front and rear skid plates with side sills. The SUV is exclusively available in two paint shades – Black Sapphire and M Brooklyn Grey metallic – and gets gloss a black kidney grille, 20-inch black alloy wheels and gloss red finished brake calipers.
Like the previous special editions, the BMW X4 M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition SUV also gets additional M badges – at the front, rear and on the hub caps – inspired by early BMW Motorsport race cars, and features a unique design that sports semicircles in blue, violet and red colour.
BMW is offering two accessory packages on the limited edition model. The first is the Motorsport package, which includes a matte black rear spoiler, a carbon fibre-finished gear knob, and an Alcantara finished key fob. Meanwhile, the Carbon Package involves carbon fibre finished kidney grille, rear spoiler and wing mirrors.

On the inside, the layout remains similar to the standard X4 M Sport. The BMW X4 M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition is powered by the same engines as the standard car – 265hp, 620Nm, 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine or a 252hp, 350Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired to 8-speed torque converter gearboxes. The diesel-powered special edition X4 can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 5.8 seconds, while the petrol-powered version can achieve it in 6.6 seconds.
