Chevrolet has revealed the first image of its all-new compact SUV, the Trax. This new SUV will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport in many global markets.
The Trax is 4.2 metres long and will seat five. Basically the Trax is a badge-engineered version of the Opel Mokka SUV that will go on sale in Europe later this year. The Mokka is powerd by 1.4-litre petrol and 1.7-litre diesel powerplants mated to a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. All manual transmission versions come with a Start/Stop system while other standard features include the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), the Traction Control (TC) as well as the Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC) systems. However, it remains to be seen which of these filter down to the Chevrolet version.
The Chevrolet Trax will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show in September this year.
