Ford has revised the Endeavour line-up in India, with the automaker’s large seven-seat SUV now only available in three variants as compared to six at the time of launch.

Ford’s second variant revision for the Endeavour SUV sees the discontinuation of the 2.2 4x4 MT Trend and the more powerful 3.2 4x4 AT Trend variants. Last year, the automaker discontinued the base 2.2 4x2 Trend variant. This revision means that the Endeavour is no longer offered with a manual variant, with the 2.2-litre diesel additionally losing the all-wheel-drive system and the 3.2-litre unit no longer available with two-wheel drive.

The Endeavour is still offered in two trims – the Trend and the fully-loaded Titanium – with the 2.2-litre unit available in both trim levels. The 3.2 diesel though is now limited to the top Titanium trim only.

The second revision comes just months after the Endeavour completed one year of sales in the country, with the second-gen SUV having been launched in January last year. The discontinuation could be attributed to the automaker streamlining the Endeavour’s line-up, following low sales of the large seven-seater SUV.

The Endeavour takes on the likes of the strong-selling Toyota Fortuner, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Isuzu MU-X in our market.

In international markets, Ford has begun testing a facelift for the Endeavour, or Everest as it is called in some markets, with the updated SUV likely to make a public debut next year.
