Honda Cars India has launched the 2017 Amaze ‘Privilege Edition’ in India, a limited edition model that is offered with a new infotainment system, minor exterior changes, and more safety equipment.

The Privilege Edition is based on the Amaze S(O) manual trim. This lower-end variant gets features such as dual airbags, ABS (in the diesel trim), power-adjustable ORVMs, steering-mounted controls, driver seat height adjust, digital AC controls and dual-tone interiors.

The limited-run car additionally comes with Digipad, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has satellite-linked 3D navigation, 1.5GB of internal storage, MirrorLink support, voice commands, Bluetooth, USB slots, Micro SD card slots for maps and media and an HDMI-IN port.

Honda has also equipped the special edition compact sedan with new body graphics and Privilege Edition emblems on the outside, while providing beige seat covers and a centre armrest for the driver on the inside. The Amaze Privilege Edition also gets rear parking sensors.

The powertrain has not been changed in any way and the car is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines that come mated to the same five-speed manual transmissions. The limited edition model does not come with an automatic option.

Price of the petrol version is Rs 6.49 lakh, while the diesel model retails at Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Honda’s Amaze faces off against the likes of the Hyundai Xcent, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, and the Volkswagen Ameo in the sub-4-metre compact sedan segment.
