Honda will soon be launching a facelifted version of the CR-Z in the US. The current car failed to meet the expected numbers with sales dropping 25 percent this September. The CR-Z for 2016 gets a tweaked front bumper, eight-point grille, new five-spoke alloy wheels and a new rear bumper as well. Inside, the CR-Z will get brushed metallic trims on the door handles, front panelling and center console and an electric parking brake as standard. The new parking brake leaves enough room for a lower centre console with an armrest and a storage compartment. Also, features like Smart Entry, Push Button Start/Stop system and a 7.0-inch Display Audio touchscreen will be available as standard across the range.

The car will also get a LaneWatch system, giving a passenger-side roadway view on the infotainment screen. Other features added will include heated leather seats with a contrasting stitch pattern, navigation and extra functions for the Display Audio system. Also available on option is a sportier front bumper, rear tailgate, LED fog lights with blue accents, A and B-pillar accents and fuel cap trims. Powering the facelifted CR-Z will be the same 1.5-litre hybrid engine producing 130bhp, with the option of a six-speed manual and CVT transmission.

This facelift of the CR-Z was expected as Honda revealed the facelifted JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) version late August.
