Honda revises Brio line-up, adds new top-end trim

The new top-spec VX trim for the Brio includes a driver's seat height adjust and a rear windshield defogger.

We were the first to break the news of Honda’s plans to introduce a new top-end trim for the Brio, and the carmaker has just launched a new VX trim available in both manual and automatic guise.

The upgrades, available on the S, V and VX trims, include a driver’s seat height adjust and a rear windshield defogger.

Also, Honda has revised the equipment list available on the Brio. The optional safety package on the S trim has been discontinued, while ABS and airbags are no longer standard on the V trim. They will only be available on the VX trim. And while previously the Brio was sold with the option of an automatic transmission on both the S and V trims, it will now only be available on the newly introduced VX trim. The engine option is carried over unchanged.

Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice president, marketing and sales, Honda India, said, “The Brio is a significant model for Honda in India as the car added more than 32,000 customers in the last fiscal year. It is our constant endeavour to study customers’ needs and aspirations and introduce features that enhance the overall ownership experience. We are pleased to announce upgrades to the Brio with added comfort and convenience in its segment which will appeal to the customers.”
