Hyundai Creta facelift interior revealed

Hyundai has completely revamped the interior of the SUV – it gets an all-new dashboard with the highlight being the twin, 10.25-inch connected infotainment screens. This is the same unit found on the Kia Seltos, and it offers improved functionality and better user experience.

An interesting detail that wasn't clear in the teaser images is that the central HVAC control panel retains physical buttons – two rotary dials and toggle switches – along with shortcut buttons for media and navigation. The teaser images, on the contrary, suggested a touch-based control panel.

Other highlights include a new gloss black trim on the passenger side of the dashboard that houses the passenger AC vent. The central AC vents have also been repositioned, and it's now a slim horizontal band running all the way to the driver’s side AC vent. There’s a handy new storage shelf on the dashboard, and the centre console too has been slightly revised. The door pads, however, remain unchanged.

Hyundai Creta facelift powertrain options

Under the hood, the Creta facelift will continue with the 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, with a manual gearbox as standard and CVT and torque converter gearboxes as options, respectively. The turbo-petrol makes a comeback, but it's more powerful now – 160hp, 1.5-litre unit that's only offered with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Hyundai has begun taking bookings for the Creta facelift and deliveries are expected to begin by late January. The Creta facelift will rival the Kia SeltosMaruti Grand VitaraHonda Elevate and Volkswagen Taigun in the midsize SUV segment.
