Hyundai Creta feature list revealed

Hyundai Creta will be offered in six trims. To be powered by 1.6-litre petrol, 1.6-litre diesel and 1.4-litre diesel engines.

Update: Hyundai Creta launched in India at Rs 8.59 lakh

Hyundai's new small SUV, the Creta, will launch here on July 21. We've got our hands on the features and equipment details for the India-spec car. As we already know, Hyundai's SUV is expected to come with three powertrains – a 1.6-litre petrol, and 1.6-litre and 1.4-litre diesel motors.

Hyundai will offer the new Creta in six trims – Base, S , S+, SX, SX+ and SX(O). The 1.6 petrol motor will power the Base, S, SX and SX+ models, the 1.4 diesel will be come in Base, S and S+ variants and the 1.6 diesel will be available in SX, SX+ and the SX(O) trims. The option of an automatic gearbox is offered only on the 1.6 diesel SX+ trim. The Hyundai Creta will also be offered with seven choices of exterior colour with the interior for certain shades getting a colour co-ordinated dashboard and seat stitching.

The Hyundai Creta Base will get the following features:

  • Dual-tone, body coloured bumpers
  • 16-inch steel wheels shod with 205/65 R16 tyres
  • Full wheel covers
  • Front disc brakes
  • Fabric upholstery
  • Front and rear map pockets
  • Adjustable front headrests
  • 2-Din audio system with four speakers
  • Trip meter
  • Lane change indicator
  • Tilt steering
  • Central locking
  • Keyless entry
  • Power windows
  • ABS and an immobiliser

The Hyundai Creta S trim carries over the features of the base trim and also gets:

  • Front fog lamps and rear defogger
  • Front and rear silver skid plates
  • Luggage lamp
  • 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls
  • Height adjustable drivers’ seat
  • Adjustable rear seat head restraints

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to the features on the lower trims, the Creta S+ trim gets:

  • Dual airbags
  • Impact-sensing auto door unlock
  • 16-inch alloy wheels and a steel spare wheel
  • Rear parking camera with guidelines and sensors
  • Audio-video navigation

The SX trim comes equipped with a few more features apart from the S trim’s fare:

  • 16-inch silver alloy wheels (205/65 R16) with steel spare wheel
  • Dual airbags
  • Rear parking sensor
  • Impact-sensing auto door unlock
  • Projector headlamps
  • LED positioning lamps
  • Electric folding ORVMs
  • Rear wiper and washer

The SX+  trim comes equipped with a few more features in addition to the SX trim:

  • Rear parking camera with guidelines
  • Smart key with push button
  • Audio-video navigation
  • Chrome door handles
  • Leather-wrapped gear knob ( only automatic transmission)

 

 

 

 

 

Only the top SX (O) trim comes equipped with the following:

  • 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels (215/60 R17)
  • Full size spare alloy wheel
  • Side and curtain airbags
  • Electronic stability control with hill assist control
  • Height adjustable seat belts
  • Speed-sensing auto door locks
  • Chrome door handles
  • Rheostat
  • Leather upholstery
  • 7-inch touchscreen

The Hyundai Creta will be launching in the same month as its direct rival, the Maruti S-Cross. It will also rival the Renault Duster and the Nissan Terrano. Hyundai is known to offer exhaustive features and equipment on its cars and the carmaker has lived up to its reputation with the Creta.
