The Hyundai Creta N Line will be an important addition to the Creta line-up; a new halo model for the benchmark in the segment. In the run up to its launch on March 11, our dealer sources have suggested that the Creta N Line will be priced about Rs 50,000 more than the regular Creta. This hints at a price of about Rs 20.5 lakh for the top-spec Creta N Line DCT variant.
- Creta N Line will be powered 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine
- Will be available with both manual and DCT gearboxes
- Will get retuned suspension, steering dynamics and sportier exhausts
Update: Hyundai Creta N Line launched at Rs 16.82 lakh
Hyundai Creta N Line expected price
The Creta N Line will be available in two trims – N8 and N10 – likely corresponding the SX(Tech) and SX(O) trims of the regular Creta, respectively. Currently, the Creta SX(O) – available only in turbo-DCT guise – is priced at Rs 20 lakh, so the Creta N Line N10 in turbo-DCT guise could be priced around Rs 20.50 lakh-20.60 lakh. The manual variant should be a little more affordable.
However, as Hyundai does not offer the turbo-DCT powertrain on any trim lower than the SX(O), it’s difficult to have a price estimate for the N8 variant just yet.
For the premium, the Creta N Line gets significant changes to its plastic parts, and will also have mechanical upgrades in the form of retuned suspension and steering geometry as well as a sportier exhaust setup with twin tips. Do note that the difference in price between the Venue and its N Line variant is also similar at Rs 51,000.
Hyundai Creta N Line rivals
In the midsize SUV segment, the Kia Seltos and Skoda Kushaq are two other models to have such special edition variants with the X Line and Monte Carlo, respectively. The Seltos X-Line is priced at Rs 20.30 lakh – Rs 30,000 more than the GTX+ trim it's based on. The Kushaq Monte Carlo is priced at Rs 20.49 lakh – Rs 70,000 more than the top-spec Style trim.
The Creta N Line will be priced around the same ballpark as these models, but while the others only get a cosmetic job over the regular models, the Creta N Line will also boast of crucial mechanical upgrades.
