Hyundai has launched two new trims of the Exter, which essentially makes the sunroof more affordable on the micro-SUV. The new Exter S(O)+ is priced at Rs 7.86 lakh while the Exter S+ AMT is priced at Rs 8.44 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
The new S(O)+ manual is positioned between the S(O) (Rs 7.65 lakh) and SX (Rs 8.23 lakh) trims, and the new S+ AMT is positioned between the existing S AMT (Rs 8.23 lakh) and SX (Rs 8.90 lakh) trims.

What’s new on the Exter S(O)+, S+?
So far, the single-pane sunroof was available on the Exter from the SX trim onwards. The new S(O)+ trim makes the sunroof more accessible by Rs 37,000 on the manual variants, while the S+ AMT makes it more affordable by Rs 46,000 on the automatic variants.
The Exter is the second-most affordable car in the market to offer a sunroof; the Tata Altroz's XM S trim being the first, priced at Rs 7.45 lakh.
Apart from the sunroof, all other features have been carried forward from the trim below it. So both new trims get a digital instrument cluster, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, all power windows, LED DRLs, follow-me-home headlamps, and more.
Standard safety features include 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, TPMS, ESC, hill-start assist and ABS and EBD. Under the hood, both new trims continue to be powered by the 83hp, 114Nm 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine.
