Hyundai Venue facelift: what do we know?
Much like the recently teases Creta facelift, the Venue, which has been around in our market since 2019, will also get a reworked front end that will see the compact SUV adopt a similar design to that of the latest Tucson (also expected to come to India). This means the Venue will get a new grille, reprofiled bumper and updated headlights. From the spy shots, we can also see a new alloy wheel design, and updated tail lights at the rear. The rest of the design and proportions look just like the current Venue.
On the features front, Hyundai is expected to update the tech on offer in the Venue facelift, though information on the interiors is sparse. Expect more details to surface closer to its debut.
Mechanically, the Venue facelift is expected to remain unchanged when compared to the current model. Hence, we can expect to see the 83hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, the 120hp, 1.0-litre turbocharged engine and the 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel to make their way to the facelift. Gearbox options are also expected to be carried forward, with the 1.2 petrol coming with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.0 turbo-petrol and 1.5 diesel unit get a 6-speed manual. The turbo-petrol will also get the choice of an iMT clutchless manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT automatic.
Hyundai Venue facelift: expected rivals and launch timeline
In terms of competition, the Venue facelift will continue to take on its Korean sibling, the Kia Sonet, as well as the other compact-SUVs like the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. In terms of a market introduction, Hyundai could bring the Venue facelift before the launch of the Creta facelift in India.
