Hyundai has announced pricing and more details of the limited-run Verna anniversary edition. The model will be limited to just 1,000 units pan India.
The special edition midsize sedan will be available in three engine-gearbox options. The Verna anniversary edition 1.6 petrol-manual is priced at Rs 11.69 lakh, while the petrol-auto costs Rs 12.83 lakh. The diesel engine on the Verna anniversary edition is the 1.6-litre engine, mated to a manual gearbox, and is priced at Rs 13.03 lakh. Hyundai will not sell the Verna anniversary edition in a diesel-auto configuration nor with the smaller 1.4-litre petrol engine.
Two exterior paint shades, marina blue and polar white, are on offer on the Verna anniversary edition combined with all-black interiors, as opposed to a beige-black layout on the standard car. As part of the special edition package, the exteriors get faux aluminum skid plates at the front and rear, a rear spoiler, black wing mirror caps and a shark-fin antenna. The dashboard comes with blue accents and there’s additional equipment such as a wireless charging dock.
The Hyundai Verna takes on the likes of the Honda City (Rs 8.77-13.93 lakh) and the recently updated Maruti Suzuki Ciaz (Rs 8.19-10.97 lakh) in the Indian market.
