Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti has released first photos of its new Q60 concept car that is expected to be shown for the first time at the upcoming Detroit motor show 2014.
The Infiniti Q60 concept previews the next-generation production version of the Q60 coupé and draws design cues from the recently shown Q80 Inspiration concept and also from the Q50 Eau Rouge. The carmarket has not yet revealed any engine details.
Infiniti says elements such as the vents behind the front wheel arches have been taken from the Q50 Eau Rouge. The two-door coupé offers a 2+2 seating layout, and features carbonfibre and Alcantara leather trim inside. The model sits on custom 21-inch alloy wheels. The Infiniti Q60 was introduced to American markets in 2014 and it is rumoured that the next-generation car will be sold in more international markets.
Infiniti is also working on an entry level hatchback and a small SUV which are based on the same MFA platform that underpins the Mercedes A-class and the GLA models. The firm's future flagship is expected to be called the Q80 and will compete with the likes of the Porsche Panamera.
