Isuzu is set to increase the prices of its portfolio in India from January 1, 2019. The price hike is due to increasing input and distribution costs.
The increase is expected to be between 1-2 percent for Isuzu’s commercial range, which includes the D-MAX Regular Cab and D-MAX S-CAB models. For the MU-X SUV and D-MAX V-Cross pickup, the hike is expected to be between 3-4 percent. The price rise will be in the range of Rs 15,000 and Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the model and variant.
Along with Isuzu, Toyota and BMW have also announced price hikes of 4 percent across their model range. Recently, Isuzu launched the refreshed MU-X SUV at Rs 26.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Hyderabad) to compete against the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra’s new Alturas G4 SUV.
