Kia EV6 facelift: what do the spy shots show?
This EV6 test mule was caught in a parking lot in South Korea, and few design details were visible despite its heavy camouflage. While the overall body shell of the car will remain the same, Kia seems to be focusing on the car’s front styling, a section that will be completely overhauled with this facelift.
The front end will have a flatter look, similar to newer Kia EVs like the EV4, EV5 and EV9. There will likely be a light bar running across the width of the car and the headlamp will switch to a vertical layout instead of a horizontal setup seen on the current EV6. This will help give the EV6 the same visual identity as the newer crop of Kia EVs.
Apart from this, and minor tweaks to the front and rear bumpers, we don’t expect any major styling revisions to the fairly new EV6. There could be some tech updates as well, however, those details are not yet known.
Kia EV6 facelift global debut timeline
We are told that the Kia EV6 facelift's global debut is still some time away, and it will be safe to assume that the car will be unveiled first in its home market of South Korea sometime in late 2024. Other markets will see a launch by end-2024 or early 2025.
