Mahindra has added Apple CarPlay to the Marazzo's infotainment system. This feature will soon be standard on all Marazzo M8 variants. When launched on September 3 this year, the MPV was offered with just Android Auto. Existing buyers can get this feature via a software upgrade.
Under the bonnet of the Marazzo is Mahindra’s new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that makes 123hp and 300Nm of peak torque and sends power to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Mahindra is also working on a petrol variant as well as an AMT-equipped variant which is expected to be launched only around 2020.
In terms of features, the top-spec Marazzo M8 gets projector headlamps with LED DRLs, front and rear fog lamps, keyless entry, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Android Auto and now Apple CarPlay. There are also 17-inch alloy wheels on the outside, automatic climate control, cruise control and power folding wing mirrors on offer.
Prices for the Marazzo start at Rs 9.99 lakh for the base M2 variant going up to Rs 13.90 lakh for the top-spec M8 trim. The MPV is available in seven and eight seat configurations and rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Renault Lodgy. Mahindra is also due to launch its flagship Y400 SUV and the S201 compact SUV, both of which will now come equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
